School

"It is the mission of Harwood Union High School to provide an educational and creative environment in which every person is valued as an individual, challenged as a learner, inspired to contribute to a democratic society,
and provided a unique and personalized learning experience.”
Our Mission
Technology
Harwood Union Middle/High School is committed to providing the technology tools and education necessary for our students to be digitally literate in preparation for higher education and the workforce. Our technology infrastructure is continually updated to provide the best possible experience and use.
In the fall of 2013, Harwood Union Middle School began a 1:1 iPad program with all 7th & 8th grade students. This program was made possible by a partnership with the Tarrant Institute for Innovative Education at the University of Vermont. In the fall of 2014, our 1:1 iPad program expanded and continued to the 9th grade and the following year 10th grade students were issued Chromebooks. The 2016-2017 school year marked the beginning of a complete 1:1 student device program at Harwood Union.
As students and teachers become more masterful with the technology and tools available, both learning and teaching is being transformed in positive ways that are not possible without a device in every student’s hands.
