Socrates Cafe discussion

At the Mountaintop Film Series on Martin Luther King Day, January 20 at 6:00 pm, the film Suppressed: The Fight to Vote will be shown. Students in Kathy Cadwell’s Strategies in Classroom Dialogue class will  facilitate a Socrates Cafe discussion on the question, " How hard  should we have to work to vote? "  following the film.

Suppressed: The Fight to Vote is a new documentary by Robert Greenwald. Through personal stories from voters across the state of Georgia, Greenwald documents how massive voter suppression in the 2018 midterm election sabotaged Stacey Abrams' run to become the first black female governor in the United States. This event is free and open to the public, with a suggested donation of $10+ at the door
