SOCRATES CAFE!

SOCRATES CAFE!

Thursday, March 28, 6- 8 pm in the HUHS Library

On Thursday, March 28th from 6-8, Harwood Union HS and the Waterbury Library will be sponsoring another Socrates Café in the HUHS Library.  All members of the community are welcome to join in the dialogue on the question: “What is the relationship between success and happiness?”  Rather than being a debate or a discussion, a Socrates Café is a dialogue where participants are encouraged to listen to each other and to learn from one another. This form of discourse and its focus on the search for knowledge, comes from Socrates, who observed that, "Wisdom Begins in Wonder." These gatherings are open to all members of the community, regardless of age, experience or background. Harwood students who are experienced in leading Socratic Dialogues will facilitate the discussions.  Refreshments will be served!

For more information contact Kathy Cadwell at kcadwell@wwsu.org or Judi Byron, judi@waterburypubliclibrary.com or Megan Reed, HUHS librarian at mreed@wwsu.org
