The Governor's Institutes of Vermont

WHAT IS GIV?

đź“·

The Governor’s Institutes of Vermont provides prestigious, fun, accelerated learning residencies on college campuses for highly-motivated young Vermonters.

Each Institute is unique, built around a single focus area.  But they all share certain similarities: they’re all residential, so you live on a college campus and have access to all the resources the college provides, from state-of-the-art labs to studios; they’re all hands-on intense bursts of learning and fun, where you and your new friends who share your interests explore topics in-depth with leading professionals in the field; and they’re a chance to try something new, make lasting memories with new friends, and learn more than you can imagine!

Need more perspective? Check out this New York Times article to learn why GIV could be a great opportunity for you!

If you are a high school student or young artist living in Vermont and looking for a learning opportunity that is world-class, affordable, and tailored to your interests and desire to learn, GIV was built for you.

Questions? Reach us anytime at info@giv.org or (802) 865-4448.

Applications for the summer institutes open on February 1, 2020.
