WELCOME MESSAGE FROM HARWOOD UNION’S PRINCIPAL
I want to welcome you and your son/daughter to the 2006-2007 school year. The staff at Harwood has been working hard this summer in preparation of the upcoming academic year and are looking forward for the students’ return!
As you may be aware, I have changed roles from being the Director of Student Services to serving as the new Principal of our school for the upcoming year. I look forward to supporting the exciting academic and co-curricular activities that we have to offer our student body. I am open to comments and suggestions you may have about any aspect of Harwood throughout the year.
Please read the following information as it may contain answers to some questions you may have.
PARENTAL INVOLVEMENT
Harwood Union understands not only the rights of parents to be involved in the education of their child, but also the key role which parents play in supporting their child’s learning.
Parents are welcome to visit the school for information or to discuss any issue affecting their child. An appointment can be made one of two ways.
*Contact the school office to assist with scheduling an appointment.
*Contact the staff member directly.
Your first contact is likely to be your child’s TA. The name and room number of the TA is on the upper right side of your child’s schedule. If you have any questions regarding your son/daughter’s TA please contact Wendy Gilbert at 882-1142. Your child’s guidance counselor is also listed on the upper right side. Contact Monique Phelps at 882-1115 for an appointment with your child’s guidance counselor.
