World Wide Resources:
  • Feeding Minds, Fighting Hunger - Stop by this international classroom to explore the topic of hunger. View a world map of hunger to see the locations of undernourished people. Fact sheets explain which groups of people are likely to not have enough to eat. The food system and the three pillars of food security are explained.
  • The Hunger Project - This site provides an extensive overview of the world hunger problem and describes programs and future plans to help to eliminate hunger someday.
  • World Hunger Notes - While the entire Hunger Notes website is devoted to helping our readers learn more about hunger and poverty, this department focuses specifically on learning resources of various types.
  • Food Force: Fighting Hunger Around the World - At the end of each article in this report, you can play the Food Force video game, where YOU can learn to fight hunger.
  • Food First - 12 Myths about Hunger - A must read! Only by freeing ourselves from the grip of widely held myths can we grasp the roots of hunger and see what we can do to end it.

United States Resources:

  • Poverty USA - Current facts about the number of Americans living in Poverty searchable by region, age, and race.
  • Farmers and Hunters Feeding the Hungry - FHFH is the alliance of farmers and hunters joined together with the sole purpose of feeding the hungry. They provide venison and big game to soup kitchens and pantries across the country.
  • America's Second Harvest - The America's Second Harvest food network distributes food and grocery products through a nationwide network throughout the United States. This site explains the way the Second Harvest is working to end hunger with national initiatives and food distribution programs, like food banks and food rescue programs.
