Philosophy
Family and Consumer Sciences
education is an exploration of ideas, values and information that assists
students in defining and enhancing their personal quality of life. Recognizing
the concept of family as our greatest strength in establishing that quality of
life, the curriculum focuses on the management of personal, family and community
resources through applied skill development and social responsibility.
Service Learning Opportunities: Contents with School-wide Food Drive Competition during Spirit Week; Harwood School Garden; Gifts for Giving Day at Thatcher Brook; Project Linus Quilt project; Harwood school beautification projects (inside and out)
