DIRECTIONS TO SCHOOLS
Following are directions to numerous schools and places that students are transported to for school trips and sports events.
B.F.A./ST. ALBANS HIGH SCHOOL:
Interstate #89 North to Exit #19. At end of ramp, turn left. Go to intersection, turn left. B.F.A./St. Albans Field House is on the right.
Driving time: 1 hour, 15 minutes
BARRE TOWN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL:
Interstate #89 South to Exit #6 (South Barre). Go down beltline to Rt. #14. At traffic light turn left onto Rt. #14. Turn left into Barre Recreation Rd., continue past recreation area and continue up driveway to school.
Driving time: 45 minutes
BARRE CITY ELEMENTARY/MIDDLE SCHOOLS:
Interstate #89 South to Exit #6 (South Barre). Go down beltline to Rt. #14. At traffic light turn left onto Rt. #14. Turn right onto School St., which turns into Sterling Hill Rd. Go past cemetery on right and the school is on the right. School almost in Lower Websterville.

BELLOWS FALLS HIGH SCHOOL:
Interstate #89 South to Interstate #91 South to Exit #5. At end of ramp bear left to Rt. #5 North. Turn left onto Rt. #5. Go approximately 2 miles. St. Johnsbury Trucking is on the right side of Rt. #5, turn left at driveway to school. Go up hill to school.

BRATTLEBORO HIGH SCHOOL:
Interstate #89 South to Interstate #91 South. Take Exit #1, at the end of the ramp turn left. Go past Burger King, take next right, follow road to school.

BURKE MOUNTAIN ACADEMY:
Interstate #89 North to Exit #8 (Montpelier) Route #2 East and continue to Walker Ford Motors. Stay on Rt. #2 East to Interstate #91 North. Take exit #23 (Lyndonville). At bottom of ramp turn right onto Rt. #5 North to West Burke. Turn right and look for signs for Burke Mountain. School on right.
Driving time: 2 hours, 20 minutes.
BURLINGTON HIGH SCHOOL:
Interstate #89 North to Exit #14W. Route #2 (Williston Rd.) toward downtown Burlington. At bottom of hill, just before Lake Champlain, turn right onto Battery St. Go past Radisson Hotel (right) to Battery Park. Turn left onto North Ave. Go approximately 1 mile – school is on left at traffic light.

CHAMPLAIN VALLEY UNION:
Interstate #89 North to Exit #12. Turn left at end of ramp onto Rt. #2A. Go to "T" in road and bear left onto Rt. 116. Go to traffic light, turn left at light. School on left.

COLCHESTER HIGH SCHOOL:
Interstate #89 North to Exit #16. At end of ramp, turn right at traffic light (CANNOT TURN ON RED) onto Rt’s #2 & #7. Go to the 4th traffic light; turn left onto Rt. #2. Turn onto $t. #127. Go approximately 1.5 miles past Elementary School. The High School is on the left. Police Station on right side. If you get to a traffic light facing the lake you have gone too far.

ESSEX JUNCTION MIDDLE SCHOOL:
Interstate #89 North to Exit #11 (Richmond, Essex Junction). Turn right on to Rt. #117 (River Road); turn right onto Sand Hill Rd. Go to top of hill, bear to extreme left (still on Sand Hill Rd.) at island. Go to Founders School (elementary school); turn left onto Founders Rd. (not marked). School on this road.

ESSEX JUNCTION HIGH SCHOOL:
Interstate #89 North to Exit #11 (Richmond, Essex Junction). Turn right onto Rt. #117. Go past A.D. Lawton to a fork in the road (just before railroad tracks), bear right. At stop sign turn right. Go approximately ½ mile, turn left into a neighborhood. Go approximately ½ mile – school will be directly in front of you.

FAIR HAVEN HIGH SCHOOL:
Rt. #100 South to Rt. #4 West. Over Mendon Mountain to the 2nd traffic light, turn left (McDonald’s on right). Go to traffic light; turn right (hospital directly in front of you). Over railroad tracks turn left onto Rt. #4 & Rt. #7 (McDonald’s on left – just after railroad tracks). Take Rt. #4 West to Exit #2. At end of ramp, turn left. Go past McDonald’s, turn left at fork (video store on corner), go approximately ¼ mile. Turn left into school. There is a sign for the school.

GREEN MOUNTAIN UNION HIGH SCHOOL:
Interstate #89 South to Interstate #91 South to Exit #6. Take Rt. #103 North toward Chester. School will be on the left just before the Village of Chester. Approximately a 15 to 20 minute drive from interstate #91.

HAZEN UNION SCHOOLS:
Rt. #100 North to Morrisville. Go straight through blinking light. Take #15A past People Academy. There is a set of railroad tracks on Rt. #15A. When getting to Rt. #15, turn right. Go thru Wolcott into Hardwick.
ELEMENTARY SCHOOL: At blinking light bear right. School will be directly in front of you.
HIGH SCHOOL: At blinking light turn left. Go to the fork in the road (approximately 300 feet) and bear left. Go up hill over railroad tracks. School is at the top of the hill on left.

HARWOOD UNION SCHOOL:
Rt. #100 South from Waterbury. Follow Rt. #100 south for appox. 7 miles, school is on the left.
LAKE REGION UNION SCHOOLS:
Rt. #100 North to Rt. #58 in Village of Lowell. Turn right onto Rt. #58 to Rt. #5. Turn right onto Rt. #5 East. Go under Interstate #91, turn right at the next road and go approximately 2 to 3 miles (sign for High School is on the left). Turn right – go under Interstate #91 – up hill and the school is on the left.

LAMOILLE UNION HIGH SCHOOL:
Rt. #100 North through Stowe Village into Village of Morrisville. At blinking light, turn left. Continue to the junction of Rt. #100 and Rt. #15, turn left. Stay on Rt. #15 West for about 3 miles. School will be on the right.

A.D. LAWTON SCHOOL:
Interstate #89 North to Exit #11. At end of ramp, turn right. Take the next right onto Rt. #117. Go past the IBM plant on left. School will be on right.

LYNDON INSTITUTE:
Interstate #89 South to Exit #10. Follow Rt. #2 to #91 North in St. Johnsbury. Take Interstate #91 North to Exit 23 (Lyndonville). At end of ramp, turn right and then directly after that turn left onto Back Center Rd. (Day’s Inn on the corner). At stop sign, statue of large pig (in spring and fall is a water fountain). Go through stop sign. School is on the left.
FIELD HOCKEY AND TRACK: The field is on the left side just past the small island on left.
BASKETBALL: Turn left at the island; go up hill to just past the school building on right. Parking lot is on right and entrance to gymnasium is off the parking lot.
PARKING can be very difficult behind the school. Be sure you can get out when needed.

MIDDLEBURY HIGH SCHOOL:
Rt. #100 South to Village of Hancock. Turn right onto Rt. #125 West, to Rt. #7 North in Middlebury. Go to 2nd traffic light, turn left into school.
Driving time: 1 hour, 15 minutes
MILL RIVER UNION HIGH SCHOOL:
Rt. #100 South to Rt. #4 South. Over Mendon Mountain to second traffic light (McDonald’s on right). Turn left onto Stratton Rd. Go through 2 stop signs. At traffic light, turn right onto Allen St. (hospital directly in front of you). Turn left onto Rts. #4 & #7. Go South on Rt. #7 to the next traffic light after Diamond Run Mall. Turn right onto Mill River Rd. Follow signs for school.

MILTON UNION HIGH SCHOOL:
Interstate #89 North to exit #17 (Champlain Islands). At the end of ramp turn left. At traffic light, turn left onto Rt. #7 North. Go through Milton past the shopping center (on left). School is on left.
Driving time: 1 hour, 30 minutes
MILTON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL:
Look at the directions for Milton High School. Continue after High School to Cherry St. Turn right onto Cherry St. Go up hill until you see the elementary school at the fork in the road.

MISSQUOI UNION HIGH SCHOOL:
Interstate #89 North to Exit #21 (Swanton). At end of ramp turn right. Go approximately ¼ to ½ mile – the school is on the left quite off the road (very difficult to see).

MOUNT ABRAHAM UNION HIGH SCHOOL:
Interstate #89 North to Exit #13 to Rt. #189. At end of road turn left onto Rt. #7 South. Go through Shelburne, Vergennes into New Haven. Turn left onto Rt. #17 East into Bristol. Go through blinking light and up hill, school is on the left.
Driving time: 1 hour, 30 minutes

IN GOOD WEATHER – FALL OR SPRING ONLY!:
Rt. #17 West into the Village of Bristol. Go through traffic light to just at the top of the hill, turn right into the school.

MOUNT MANSFIELD UNION HIGH SCHOOL:
Interstate #89 North to Exit #11 (Essex Junction). Turn right off ramp and then turn right onto Rt. #117. At the Barber Farm Rd., turn right. Go into the center of Jericho, School is on the right.
Driving time: 1 hour
OR
Rt. #2 West into Village of Richmond. At traffic light turn right onto Browns’ Trace Rd. Continue until you see the school on the right – through Village of Jericho.

NORTH COUNTRY UNION HIGH SCHOOL:
Rt. #100 North to Newport. Follow Rts. #100/105 North. Turn left on Rt. #105 to 3rd St., right onto Rt. #105/Main Street. Over low bridge, over railroad tracks, go by Wendy’s Restaurant on left. Follow Rt. #5/105 straight at light. Turn left onto Union Street and left onto Bluff Rd. School is on the left.

NORTHFIELD MIDDLE & HIGH SCHOOLS:
Interstate #89 South to Exit #8 (Montpelier). Go through 3 traffic lights. At the 4th traffic light, turn right onto Rt. #12 South. At traffic light at top of hill in Northfield, turn right. Bear right onto Carpenter St./Cemetery St. High school is on left just past cemetery. Turn left onto Cross St.; Middle School is on the right. When exiting turn left out of parking lot onto Vine St. and continue straight to traffic light to return to Rt. #12 North.
OR
From Harwood Union go into Moretown Village, turn right onto Moretown Mountain Rd., continue over mountain to Cox Brook Rd. (same road – different town), through the 3 covered bridges, turning right onto Rt. #12 South. Then follow directions to Northfield Village and the traffic light at the top of hill.
IN ADDITION
SOCCER, FIELD HOCKEY AND BASEBALL:
Another field that sports are held, the Windridge Recreational Field in Roxbury. Rt. #12 South through Village of Northfield. Past Norwich University. Take Rt. #12A to Roxbury. Windridge Field is behind the Roxbury School.

OTTER VALLEY UNION HIGH SCHOOL:
Rt. #11 South to Rt. #73 West. Go over Brandon Gap into the Village of Brandon. Turn left onto Rt. #7 East. Go approximately 4 miles – school is on right.
Driving time: 1 hour, 30 minutes
OXBOW HIGH SCHOOL:
Interstate #89 South to Exit #7 (Berlin/Barre). Take Beltline to Barre. Go through downtown Barre. Take Rt. #302 East to Rt. #25 South to Rt. #25B. Turn left from Rt. #25B onto Rt. #5 North. Go through Village of Bradford. School is on the left. Gymnasium is in the rear of the school building.

PEOPLES ACADEMY:
Rt. #100 North to Village of Morrisville. Go straight through the blinking light. School is directly in front of you on hill. Go up hill and through parking lot. Sports fields are behind the school.

RANDOLPH UNION HIGH SCHOOL:
Interstate #89 South to Exit #4. Bear right onto Rt. #66 East. Go down hill – through blinking light to large brick house on the right side of the road. Turn right onto dirt road. School is directly in front of you. To get to the gymnasium, bear left at the school and go to the front of the school. When leaving the school, go directly out from the front, turn left, and turn left again onto Rt. #66 West to interstate.

RICE HIGH SCHOOL:
Interstate #89 North to Rt. #189 (Shelburne). At end of Rt. #189, turn right onto Rt. #7 North. Go to 5th road on right, Proctor Ave., and turn right. Go through neighborhood to school at end of road.

RUTLAND HIGH SCHOOL/STAFFORD VOTECHNICAL CENTER:
Rt. #100 South to Rts. #4 & #7. Go over Mendon Mountain at second traffic light, turn left onto Stratton Rd. Turn left into Rutland High School. (McDonald’s restaurant on right at traffic light at intersection of Rt. #4, Rt. #7 and Stratton Rd.)

SOUTH BURLINGTON HIGH SCHOOL:
Interstate #89 North to Exit #14E. At end of ramp bear right onto Dorset St. Go past University Mall. School is on the left just before Kennedy Drive.

SPAULDING HIGH SCHOOL/VOTECHNICAL CENTER:
Interstate #89 South the Exit #7 (Berlin/Barre). Take beltline to Rt. #302 East. At intersection of Rts. #302 & #14, take Rt. #14 East. Go over 2 sets of railroad tracks and turn left at blinking light onto Ayers St. Go over railroad tracks; take immediate right onto school driveway.
Driving time: 45 minutes.
SPRINGFIELD HIGH SCHOOL:
Interstate #89 South to Interstate #91 South to Exit #7 (Springfield). Bear right off ramp. Go approximately 5 miles to 1st traffic light. BE IN LEFT LANE. Take left up hill. High School on right.
Driving time: 2 hours
STOWE HIGH SCHOOL:
Rt. #100 North through Village of Waterbury and Waterbury Center. Turn left onto Moscow Rd. Go to 2nd paved road, turn right onto Barrows Rd. School is on the right.

ST. JOHNSBURY ACADEMY:
Interstate #89 South the Exit #8 (Montpelier). Take Rt. #2 East through Montpelier (7 traffic lights) to intersection of Rts. #2 & #302 (Walker Ford on right side at traffic light). Stay on Rt. #2 East. Go over Interstate #91 to top of hill. Stay on the right at the fork. At stop sign turn right. DO NOT go into the parking lot with a bus, as you will never get out!!! Just before the parking lot turn left onto dirt driveway. Just past the gymnasium, bear right and the parking lot for buses is at the bottom of the hill.

THETFORD ACADEMY:
Interstate #89 South the Exit #1. Take Interstate #91 North to Exit #14. Turn left at stop sign off ramp. Go up hill to square on left. Turn left – go about ¼ mile; school will be on the right. Parking: Turn right, go up hill, bear to the left and start back down hill. Park bus on right side. Probably better to back in.

TWINFIELD UNION SCHOOL:
Interstate #89 South to Exit #8 (Montpelier). Go to 7th traffic light. Walker Ford Motors on right side. Take Rt. #2 East towards St. Johnsbury. Go through East Montpelier and Plainfield on Rt. #2. Sign on right side for Twinfield Union School.

VERGENNES UNION HIGH SCHOOL:
Interstate #89 North to Rt. #189. Turn left onto Rt. #7 South. In Vergennes you will see a shopping center on right. Turn right onto Plank Rd. School on right.

WHITE RIVER HIGH SCHOOL:
Interstate #89 South to Rt. #91 North. Take Exit #11; turn left at 2nd traffic light. Rt. #5 North, over bridge and up hill. School is on the left.

WILLIAMSTOWN HIGH SCHOOL:
Interstate #89 South to Exit #5. End of ramp turn left onto Rt. #64. DO NOT TRAVEL THIS WAY IN WINTER. Be careful!! The downhill grade is quite steep. USE LOW GEAR!! At bottom of hill, turn left at sign for high school. Go past the Williamstown Elementary School to top of hill. High School is on the right.

IF ROADS ARE BAD:
Interstate #89 South to Exit #6 (South Barre). At bottom on hill (very long beltway – several miles) turn right onto Rt. #14 South. Go into Village of Williamstown; turn right onto Rt. #64. Turn right at sign for schools and follow directions as above.

WINOOSKI HIGH SCHOOL:
Interstate #89 North to Exit #16. Turn left at end of ramp. Go to 2nd traffic light, turn left, the school will be directly in front of you.
